How many car seat bases?

How many are you getting? I'm thinking 3... my car, DH's car, my parents car - they will watch DC 1x a week. Is that overkill or does it make sense?

3 makes sense for you! We have 2- DH's car and my car since we're the only ones who'll be driving Chat Icon around.

Re: How many car seat bases?

my Mom will also be watching Chat Icon 2 days a week, but instead of buying another carseat base, we got a convertible seat that holds 5lbs-100lbs. We figured it would get much more use than an infant seat for her - she won't have him until he's 8 wks old anyway.

One base usually comes with the car seat, but it makes sense to get 2 extra bases in your situation.

I have 3...my car, DH car and my mom's...she'll be the one picking him up from the sitter. Not overkill...makes sense. The baby will be that seat for at least a year anyway.

Same here. That totally makes sense for you though. Or you may consider like another poster stated getting the convertible seat to go in your parents car since they are going to watch dc only once a week. The bases can cost give or take $80, might as well spend a little extra and get a convertible seat. You will eventually need it anyway.
