how many crib bedding sets should we buy?
Do you think 2 is enough? Do they get ruined? Do you have one fancy and one casual set? Did you buy a set and register for one also?

One is more then enough IMO.
The comforter isn't something baby should be sleeping with anyhow, so it's more decorative then anything.

1 is plenty. They don't really spit up on the bumpers and you don't use the blanket. I would just get a few crib sheets and sheet protectors.

like the OP said, babies can't use comforters... one set is fine... but I got 8 more matching fitted sheets... DS used to rocket through fitted sheets (and changing table covers)....
we'll use the comforter when DS is a bit older......

I think 1 is plenty with a few extra sheets! DD is 21 months and I've had the same one since she was born. We use the comforter that came with it now so I feel like it wasn't a total waste!

None! Seriously, all I use out of mine is the bumper and the crib skirt. I don't even know what the point of the comforter is- it's just taking up space hanging on the end of his crib

I agree, IMHO bedding sets = waste of money
get a cute bed skirt and a bumper if you want

I think 1 would be plenty with extra sheets and two mattress pads.
I bought my crib set in pieces and all I got was the bumper, a crib skirt and a chair pillow. And coordinating sheets to match.

one set is plenty and I bought a couple of extra sheets but to be honest I never use them. I use the ultimate crib sheet (I have 3). They are so much easier to change!!!!

OMG 1 is totally more than enough!
But I will say that DS is 20 months and we are still using his. We got two extra sheets and we were good to go!
And I don't think they are a waste of money, but we use our bumpers and now he uses his comforter.
But we also didn't have a super duper (it was $199) expensive set.

Honestly one is really enough (just get extra sheets) b.c you usually don't use the comforter anyway it is more decorative - and they are machine washable. Honestly the only thing we have used is the sheets and the bumpers for a very short time. Otherwise it is better to leave the crib empty. So they really are more for show than for use.

agree! it's such a waste. i don't even use his sheets because i use the ultimate crib sheet. i haven't touched his sheets in 6 months!

I just have one fancy and 5 different sheets to go with it (that's the part that needs to be changed most often)...
They don't even use the comforter (no blankets in crib), and the bumpers I wash once in a while...
