I had 3 done at once. 2 were impacted. I took one day off and then went back to work, but I really should have taken more time off. I was very swollen and then ended up having dry sockets...very painful! I was on pain meds for at least a week, if not more.

I needed three full days off… not including the day it was done.
My oral surgeon said I had the worst case he had seen in over 15 years of oral surgery practice

Well I had two wisdom teeth out yesterday. Today I am not 100%, but I am no where near where I was yesterday. If it was me, I would want to do it on a Friday to have the weekend to recover. Oh wow I am in so much more pain this morning than yesterday. Ouch.

How many days did you stay home from work after having your wisdom teeth out?
All 4 were impacted and had to be dug out. I was a teen when I got them out and was out of school for 5 days. I remember having to bring a note to school from the dentist because my face was so swollen and bruised when I went back my Dr didn't want cps called.

It depends a lot on the person, whether their impacted etc. But I would take the next day off. Try to get it done on a Thursday, take off Friday and have the weekend just in case

I just had mine out (both left side) and I thought for sure i would be fine the next day- but I wasn't. Not only did I stay home, my husband did to help me, too.

I had 3 removed on a Friday (one was impacted, and I don't have a 4th) and took the kids to the aquarium the next day (and strangely enough my surgeon was there too!)
They hurt for a while, but I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and I can't handle sitting home!
