How many naps (and for how long) does your toddler take
DD is almost 15 months, and I'm thinking she might be ready to take 1 long nap instead of two short ones.
How old is your child and how many naps do they take, and for how long?

That's when my DD started transitioning. She would take one nap at 10am for one hour and that was it. (she was normally taking 1 - 1.5 hours at 10 am AND 2pm) So I started moving it up. She still wanted that morning nap, but the afternoon was too long for her and she'd crash at about 4pm.
So I kept her up and busy and by 17 months she was officially napping 1 - 2:30 - 3.

DD-almost 15 months...takes one nap.
Nap is about 1hr and tops to 3hrs.
Some days, there is no nap.

At that age Emily still took 2 naps. about an hour and a half in the AM 10amish and about an hour and a half in the pm 2:30ish.
Now she is 2.5 and she takes one 2-hour nap in the afternoon at around 2:30pm.

At about 16 months, my kids went from 2 naps to 1. And I pushed it to later in the day, so we could get some things done. Now they nap from like 2-4 every day. Yes, my 4-year old still naps!

DS is 15 months and he's in the transition period now. Some days it's one nap that's 2-3 hrs long. Some days he still needs that second nap, but it's usually not more than an hour and his morning nap was shorter.

DD never took 2 naps, she's 15 1/2 months, she takes 1 long nap, usually about 2 hours.

James is 22 months. He always takes a morning nap. Sometimes he'll have another nap in the afternoon, it really depends. Today he told me he was tired, so he went in for an afternoon nap.

dd is almost 15.5 months. She has been a one napper since 6 months 
Just recently her one nap went from 2.25-2.5 to 3 hours

One nap/day starting at 10 months old. He is now 22 months and he naps the same every day....2-3 hours at once!

DS will be 18 months and he can go somedays with no nap (if we are out) and other days he naps for 2-2.5hours.
I don't remember when he transitioned from 2 naps to 1.

DD is almost 16 months... she takes one nap about two hours right after lunch at noon. Until about two weeks ago she was doing a morning nap for the sitter, but even though I put her in the stroller in the morning b/c she looks so tierd, she hasnt been going down.

Anywhere between 1 and 3pm Ill put her down and she will sleep anywhere from 2 to 3 hours

DD will be 15 months and for the past week or two she has been only taking one nap which really hasn't been too long, maybe less than an hour. I think she needs 2 naps but she fights it.

trish my boys still nap too ! It's so great for them to refresh and rest !
my 4yr old LOVES his naps, and I dont have to say it twice. last week we had a LONG day out (amusement park and then BBQ at a friends house) so he goes "I wish I could just take a long nap right now  )
my 5yr old ALWAYS fights it and has to negotiate his way out of it.
If im stern from the start, about they MUST nap, then we will do this and that afterwards, they listen and nap right away.
but if they see that im quickly starting to clean up (aka distracted from the nap-alert, LOL), when they head to nap, they come running out and I dont have the energy to get them back in (without waking the little one  )
2-4 is our aprrox naptime also. it gives us plenty of time to have a fun day out (theyre up by 7, and we're out and about by 9am some days), nap and then have another outing or backyard/pool time...
I even nap with them every now and then

Charlie went to one nap shortly after his first birthday. Now at 21 months, I'm having a hard time getting him down for just one nap.
