how many ounces of formula for a two week old?
i am giving him 3-4 ounces and it seems to be OK just wondering if that sounds correct, also is formula feeding like breast feeding, meaning will he let me know when he's hungry for it, i am a little nervous b/c i knew his feeding times pretty much down pat when breastfeeding and i am nervous since tonight is his first night on formula. hes been sleeping a lot since getting it earlier (he has had 3 bottles). i am just wondering if i should wake him every 3 hours or just let him tell me when its time, also how long can i let him sleep before i should wake him if he doesn't get up on his own? Thanks!

My ped told me to feed him every 3 hours until midnight, then to let him wake up if he was hungry at that age.
I gave about 4oz then and that is what DS still takes now.

Re: how many ounces of formula for a two week old?
My DS is 3 wks old and we feed him on demand. He eats 3 oz every 2 1/2 - 3 hrs. His doctor told us he can eat between 3 and 6 oz. He also told us to increase his formula by 1/2 oz increments if the time between feedings gets shorter. The longest our DS has gone between feedings is 4 hrs. We've not had to wake him up yet.
