At least once a week..but there is a cat in our yard that likes one area and I forget and Jaz always finds the cats spot...YUCK! It is without a doubt the most discusting thing!!! I pucked one day when she did it 
Since then she gets her teeth brushed like it or not and she gets mints for doggies to get the smell out.

We tried with Bruno and he repeatedly broke the brush or bit our fingers with the fingerbrush.
We've been slacking parents with Vito and have only tried twice. He wasn't as violent but he sure hated it.
