How many times is too many....
There's a specific company I would like to interview with, and they have a ton of positions available.
they keep posting positions, but the old ones remain, leading me to believe they haven't been filled.
I also found out from someone that they are restructuring.....which could be putting interviewing on the back burner. But seriously, there are job listings from December!
So my questions is, how many times is too many to apply, and how many positions?

Re: How many times is too many....
This is a tricky subject.... 1. Are they all sent through HR? 2. How many different departments are listed/are you interested in? 3. Do you know anyone at the company? Could you make contact with anyone through a professional organization?
It's really difficult to give a specific number, but the best advice would be to find the ones that most fit your qualifications and interest, and target those. However, if they are all going to the same person, that might get a little overwhelming. We had a person that would apply for every position whenever we had an opening in our office - whether it was an admin asst. or a counselor or an assistant director. We didn't even take it seriously anymore.

That's what I'm afraid of. It doesn't seem like it's going to the same person, it's weird. The company has a website where you can log your resume and just log in and hit apply. But then you can find some postings on monster and they have specific people (sometimes).
I think I'll contact HR directly.

Re: How many times is too many....
Is it the same job being posted or a few different positions that you are interested in applying for? We do all our recuriting in-house using our company website.
If it is the one job, then I would only apply the once.
If it's more than one job in various different departments, then I would apply to each one individually.

Yes, it's different positions, and I have applied only once to each.
I just don't get why they keep adding jobs yet still have al the old ones....
