how many tums can you have in a day?
i've had the worst heartburn all week and just ran out to get tums because i cant deal with it anymore. I just took 2, but can i take more later if i need it?

I take zantac...it's my hero these days. Doc gave me a prescription for it. I was taking umpteen Tums a day and it just wasn't helping that much.

I used to take 3 after all my meals and even more then that. I ate them like candy to be honest.

I think they say up to 6 (on the box - I have definitely had days that I took more), but be very careful, especially if you are prone to constipation. I try now to take 1 at a time and see if that helps

I think it says more, like 15 or something.
I went through a container over a 48 hour period once. DH took them away from me b/c he said it looked like I was eating candy.
Oh and now, 7 weeks pp, I crave tums. How WEIRD is that?

Wow, I had no idea they were constipating, but that would explain A LOT!!!!! I know, maybe a little TMI!
