How many words at 12 months
How many words did/does your Dc say at 12 months. Mine only says about 3-4..I am getting worried. She points and babbles in full sentences, but that is it.

mine is a mimmick.
other then that, he only has a few real words in his vocabulary.
i am not worried they are still so young and keep learning new things each day.

If she's pointing and babbling, you shouldn't worry just yet. 3-4 words is FINE and the crazy babbling (sounds like another language which different intonations, right?) along with pointing is perfect.

She has about 25 words I'd say. But some of those words include "meow", "moo". Are those considered words too? She doesn't always perform on demand. She says things when SHE wants to, and just now at 14 months is starting to mimic when we have her repeat things. I wouldn't worry!

Meow and moo would be considered words as they have "meaning".....

My ped says they look for 3-5 words by 15 months so it looks like you DD is right on track!

DD is 11 1/2 months old. She says baba, mama, dada, but I dont thing that she associates them yet.
But, FYI - I just had a meeting with EI and the teacher says that babbling at this age is considered good. And that Paige is right on track. So i wouldnt worry just yet!!!!
