How much Almond Paste would I use?

I made USUK's rainbow cookies and need to make more but Target was out of extract so I bought paste.

If the recipe calls for 1 tsp of extract how much past would I use?

Wow so I guess it's not as concentrated.

Can someone post their recipe using the paste for me please.
I went to another store today and there was no extract.

Re: How much Almond Paste would I use?

I use almond paste it always comes out great.
usually 8oz my recipie reads

8 oz almond paste
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
3 sticks unsalted butter
l cup sugar
4 eggs separated
2 cups flour

you need to whip the egg whites and make them fluffy and then add them to the mixture after all of the other ingredients are added. fold them in.

then separate into three equal parts, add coloring and mix, then put into three separate pans lined with parchment paper bake for 15 min on 350, then spread any preserve you like onto two layers then layer them up, then i usually put a weight on them over night then spread with a mixture of melted chocolate, light corn syrup and a smidge of butter and top it off with sprinkles. making 3 batches tomorrow ugh!!!!!
