How much did/does your 3 month old weigh?

DD had her 3 month well visit yesterday and was pretty high on the charts for her weight. She was 13 lbs 13 oz, and 23 1/2 inches. Do you think I am feeding her too much? I don't know how many ounces she eats because I breastfeed her and she has been refusing bottles (another issue I'm dealing with because I have to go back to work soon.) I feed her on demand, but it's usually around 7:30, 10, 1ish, 3-5ish, 7-10ish, and 4:30am. She usually only eats from one side at a time.

13.4.......she is breastfed as well and if I let her, she would eat all day!

my ds is 2 months and weighs 13lbs and is 23 1/2 in... my ped. wasnt concerned

I don't remember but I can look it up tonight for you but I do remember I felt like she weighed a lot too - she was in the 95th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for height at three months. But she's all evened out now

as long as the PEDS think DC is ok, I wouldn't worry

I don't think you are feeding her too much at all. My DS was 13lbs 10 oz & 23 inches at his 2 month visit.

My DD is about 16 lbs at 3 mths so I too asked if I was feeding her too much. Drs told me no, as she does not eat when she doesnt want to and she apparently needs the calories. Actually, she was big when she was inside of me and was born one mth early but still 7.5 lbss...so she seems to always have had this tendency to be larger/need more food.

So no, I don't think you are feeding her too much since I am in the same boat.

i don't remember but he was in the 50% for weight and 95% for height, he was breast fed, as soon as i weaned off bfp, he jumped to 75% in weight

I don't think you're feeding her too much. I'm EBFing DS and I always feed him on demand. At his 2 month appointment, he weighed 13 lbs 1 oz and was in the 75th percentile for weight.

DS was 11 pounds and 23 1/2 inches.

12.5 pounds and growing. She drinks 6 oz. every 4 hours. The ped. said if she is hungry give her what she wants. They have a growth spurt at 3 mos. so they will typically eat more around this time.

DD was the same 13lbs, 13oz.

He weighed 16 pounds at 3 months And he was only 6lbs 8oz at birth!! He is now almost 20 pounds at 5 months and they haven't said anything to me so I think you're fine
