How much did it cost you to finsih your basement?
We're looking at finishing our basement in the next year or two. DH would likely do all the work himself. We'll be adding a full bath/laundry combo and sectioning off an office, a playroom, a storage room, and a gym. Just curious what we can expect this to cost us.
ETA: The finished portion would be about 575 sq feet.

we have a HUGE basement (we own a cape so it is the size of the whole 1st floor) around 730sqft, and it'll cost around 10k to do. My dh is going it on his own. so far, the framing, insulation, electric, and plumbing/shower pan for the bathroom is done. We just have to sheetrock, paint, get flooring in, do tiling/flooring in the bathroom, and get a toilet and vanity
- but we put a bathroom/sump pump down there, and the plumbing was pretty expensive- around 3k for plumbing and baseboards - We have a tile guy so we are going to do pretty well with bathroom tiling - flooring is going to be carpet or vinyl (will be under $1000). we might try to do it ourselves which will save a ton, but i'm not 100% sure yet - lighting/electric was under $150 because my FIL did it. we just paid for the recessed lights. - insulation was a couple hundred- if you do spray foam, it'll be around 1k. We opted to do regular fiberglass - we are sheetrocking the ceiling and walls ourselves, and will do the spackling and painting ourselves.
Our friend finished his entire basement for under 2k (no bathroom). However, we decided to do the bathroom downstairs, switched all our old cast iron pipes to PVC, got the sump pump, moved our washer/dryer to the other side of the basement, and installed baseboards. So that is the biggest cost for sure
If we weren't doing a bathroom, we could have definitely done it for under 3k
