how much did you gain? when did you deliver?
Hello!
Two quick questions... how much weight did you gain during your twin pregnancy? And at what week did you deliver?
Just wondering. A triplet mom I know just told me about Dr. Barbara Luke's book, "Expecting twins, triplets and more" or something like that, and it has gotten me thinking about weight. Dr. Luke asserts that you should try to gain the bulk of your recommended 45-56 pounds in the first two trimesters in a proactive effort to help prevent preterm labor and help with weight gain of the babies.
I was just taking my own totally unscientific, solely out of curiosity poll ;).

i don't know what the bulk of that would be but at 27 1/2 weeks preg i have gained 20 lbs, my babies weigh 2lbs2oz, and 2lbs6oz, which i believe is a good weight, also my drs both say everything looks really good, i am still working and feel relatively good, minus of course the back aches,
sooo of course i am still preg and don't know what is going to happen but i would just go by what your dr says, as long as they are good with your weight gain i wouldn't worry

I gained about 45 lbs and delivered at 36 weeks.
The kids weighed 5 lbs 5 oz, 5 lbs 4 oz and 4 lbs 2 oz when they were born.

I gained 33lbs and delivered at 34 and 1/2 weeks ....
I gained a lot in the beginning , like 20 lbs and then it slowed down a lot.

I gained 35 lbs and delivered at 37w5d.
ETA: I lost weight in the first trimester. I didn't have morning sickness, just no appetite. I think I gained around 20lbs in the second trimester, and the rest in the third.

I gained 34 pounds and delivered at 36 weeks. They were 5lbs 9oz and 4lbs 15oz at birth. I gained 5 pounds in the first tri, 15 pounds in the second and 14 in the third.

I delivered at 38 weeks and I gained close to 50 pounds.

I delivered at 35w3d and gained about 20lbs. (not the norm....i was sick a good part of the pregnancy)

I gained 74 pounds. Most of it was water weight.
I delivered at 37 weeks. I was induced.

I gained between 40-45 lbs. Delivered at 36 weeks and both boys were over 5lbs.
I had a lot of issues gaining weight in the beginning. I think I had only gained 10 lbs by 20 weeks, but then it came on fast and furious the last 16 weeks. My doctor never seemed concerned.
