How much did you spend on school supplies, if you had a list to go by?
DD is starting 3rd grade. Everything on her list came to $60. Is that the norm?

DD is starting 3rd grade too! Does the $60 include backpack and lunchbox? I didn't buy all DD's supplies at once so I never added up but I'd estimate between $35-$45 with out the backpack and lunchbox.

Without lunch boxes and backpacks, which they both already have, about $40-$45 each!
Our PTA wanted $80 for just one back to school kit!

Wow... expensive! DS is starting kindergarten and I spent $13 at Walmart for his stuff. I had the tissues and baby wipes at home and that is not counting his new school bag or lunch box. Plus we have to give the teacher $2.50 (seems like we are chipping in for gas) for her to get the notebook.

No, not including back pack and lunch box. This is the products from the list only.

Ds is going into Kindergarten, and I spent $8 on his list. It was a small list.

I dont have a list yet but I will be using some stuff from last year I have a stock of 1/2 used stuff (pencils, crayons, notebooks, folders) all in good condition.
I did buy new back pack after 3 yrs of my son using same one. $24.99 Jansport red.
