How much do you love your bugaboo?

Do you have any regrets about it? I am considering getting it but cannot justify the Chat Icon

I kind of regret it... It was a GREAT stroller for walking around the city which we did a lot but we really found taking it anywhere (by car, train, plane...) a PITA and even restaurants we found it very annoying. We wound up getting a Maclaren to supplement it and loved the functionality of it. In hindsight, I wished I had spent a lot less on a CityMini for walking around.

Re: How much do you love your bugaboo?

I used my Bugaboo less than a dozen times and now it is in storage and I only use my Maclaren. I am going to sell it. But, I live in a 3rd floor walk up in Brooklyn, with no storage, so it wasn't the right stroller for me. No storage space and too heavy!

I love the way it wheels and the way it looks. DS is super comfortable in his bug. I have to admit that I find it to be a PITA the way you have to take the seat off to fold it up. I find that I use my city mini in my car and I leave my bugaboo in my house for when we go for walks. I used the bugaboo for the first 4 months exclusively. I used it with the bassinet, car seat and then I switched it to the seat when DS was 4 months. I do love it and feel guilty that I hardly use it anymore because it was so expensive.

DITTO on all counts..it's sitting inside the house right now, I barely used it in the winter, we use the maclaren or city mini for now to go in and out of the car...I used it a lot when she was younger and over the summer for longer walks...I think if I had to I would get the Peg Perego Skate right now, when we were looking at it, it had just come out and they didn't tweak it a lot, now they tweaked it and it's sooo much better than the bug I think!!!!

My ds is only 3 weeks old so not sure yet but so far i used it once. the snap and go is easier to use to just run to the dr.s appointments, im hoping once the weather is warmer i will get more use out of the bugaboo, for walks and to go shopping.

Re: How much do you love your bugaboo?

I've loved my Bug. I took countless walks with it. Taken it on trips (in the car). To the store, you name it. Great on the beach. People complain that you have to detach the seat to put it in the trunk. I don't see the big deal. It's easy to do. Handles like a dream and very smooth.

My only beef, is now that I am having #2, it is going to be somewhat useless to me. And the skateboard does not seem to be convenient for a toddler.

If it were in existence when I got this 2 years ago, I probably would have opted for the Baby Jogger City Select. It looks like the Bug, which I like, and grows with your family.

I wish Bugaboo would carry something similar.

Re: How much do you love your bugaboo?

I have the Bee, and I live in London, so this probably isn't even relevant for you! We weren't sure about the Bee when we were looking at strollers, but we needed something super light for public transportation and my wish list included a stroller which faced front or back, laid flat without a separate bassinet attachment, could take the carseat on the chassis (the Bee does it both with the seat unit on, or you can take it off and use it like a snap and go) and folded in one piece. The Bee was pretty much the only one that did all of that. It's not the greatest over rough terrain, but in hindsight, it was the perfect stroller for our needs. Plus it's so dinky that I can go pretty much anywhere!

Re: How much do you love your bugaboo?

LOVE!

I wish I would have had a mile counter on it. 3-5 miles a day for 2 years.

Still like new, zero complaints on craftsmanship.

PITA to get in and out of car, yes. But so worth it to have at mall rather then macclaren, after bug, I hated using anything else. Freaking macclaren constantly flipping backwards.

PITA at airports...but so happy to have it on vacation. Beach, yosemite, new york. made the mistake of taking macclaren to fl once...missed my stroller the entire time.

If you could, I would buy slightly used.

I was just having a conversation with someone about this today. I have the Cameleon and it is a GREAT stroller. I love how it turns and how comfortable it is on all surfaces. I do not regret getting it bc I do enjoy it, but it just isn't that practical. I hate that the seat has to come off when you fold it so you have to have what seems like wayy too much stuff in your trunk lol. I am still using the snap adapter for the car seat but once I switch to a forward facing I will have to use the seat. I am sure I will enjoy it a lot more once the weather is nicer and I can go for daily walks!!
*it is also great on the beach!!

I only use it for walks. I bought a Maclaren to leave in the trunk because the Bug is annoying for quick trips IMO. I was living in Manhattan when I got it and was surrounded by them. I think it made more sense for the city because you do way more walking, however it probably doesn't make such a good subway stroller either. However, I do LOVE it for walks! It maneuvers so easily and DS love to take his daily walk in it Chat Icon

I love mine. I absolutely hate those travel systems. They're so ugly IMO. The bugaboo rides great and is so easy in and out of car. Make sure you get the car seat adapter.

Re: How much do you love your bugaboo?

Okay, mine is a love hate relationship...I have a frog and I bought it when my son was born 4 years ago. For that first year it was the best thing ever since sliced bread, I live in a neighbourhood thats like Queens, so I walk alot, spend a lot of time outdoors and didn't use my car too much. It was fantastic. But once my son turned a year old, he was too big for it imo. His head really almost reached the top of the seat! I got a Maclaren when we went on holiday to Florida and the Bug went up in my attic...I love my maclaren...a lot.

That being said, I am having our second next week and I have taken it out again, and I am so excited about using it again! I would get one, buy it used and buy the car seat adaptors. I can' twait to use it again!!! I just bought the buggyboard and my 4 year old is super excited about riding on it!

eta...I think its still the best looking piece of baby equipment on the market today.
