How much do you pay to get pants hemmed?
and where?
I've used a couple places in Commack, and I've paid $5, I've paid $9....
just normal dress pants.
I got them for $8.12 at Kohl's, and just paid $9 to hem!

well.. i used to get them done for free by my mom before i got married and moved 2 hours away from her- LOL
now i just go to the dry cleaner and usualy pay about $7 or $8 i think... i know what ya mean! sometiems it can be as much as the pants cost!

$10 at the local dry cleaner (the seamstress there). I think they are on the high side though. Everything by me is.

you're so right!
They're 9 & Company ava pants - they fit sooo well, but they are SO LONG! The petite were too short...go figure!

I have paid up to $20 for getting them fixed. But when I go, it's usually the waistline AND the hem...
Ughh being tall and fat is so annoying

$7 each. Last year I got a whole bunch of pants on sale, but had to get them all hemmed (who are these companies making pants for - thin giants?). It was like, 'let's make a deal' at the cleaners, but in the end he told me some sob story that his Mom does all the alterations and not paying her the full amt. would be like taking food out of her mouth...any cheese with that whine...

$15 for jeans when the reattach the original hem.. I dont know how much they charge for a regular hem though... either way they do a fantastic job! It's my local cleaners in W.Bab
