I spent about $25 on the last one and it lasted less than a year.

I know there's no substitute for a good haircut (and being born with good hair, which I wasn't) but if someone can recommend something reasonably priced that does a good job, I'd be grateful.

My fav was a Solano. It was $175. I would never spend that much again though.

I would make sure it's a ceramic dryer at the very least. I have a digital Vidal Sasoon one - I think it was ~$40 (max). Works great. It's ionic too - not totally sold on that but I use it anyway Chat Icon

I've never spent more than $20 on a hair dryer. they last me about a year and a half and then I buy a new one.

I firmly believe that a good hair dryer is key. I used the $20 ones for years and they fried my hair.

I bought an Elchim at Tri-County on the recommendation of my hair dresser.

it was $80 and it's guaranteed for life.

My hair has never looked better and it's finally healthy. I'm able to grow it now past my shoulders without it looking pathetic.

So that's my two cents..or 10 cents..Chat Icon

Aside from the wattage, I don't really get the difference in hair dryers.
