How much do you tip at the hair salon?
Figure there are 3 people involved:
The person doing the high-lites ($85)
The guy who washes the hair in between the hot dryer
The girl who does the hair cut & blow out ($35)
How much do I tip each - so many people to tip and don't want to come across cheap...

The highlight person ~ $15
The person who washes your hair ~ $3-5
The person who cuts your hair ~$8-10

After a trim and highlights, my bill comes out to be about 200.00.
On TOP of that, I tip the shampoo person 10.00, the blow-out person 10.00 and the colorist 35.00.
I LOVE my salon, and that is the only reason why I continue going back. They do an AWESOME job, but they are VERY PRICEY.

I tip too much....but I do so because my hair is important to me, and I want the people involved in my hair to remember that I'm not cheap with them...so that they will always do their best for me.

I give the colorist & stylist about 20% and $5 to the person that washes my hair -- it's my favorite part and they wash it a bunch of times to get the color out.

except for the shampoo guy...I hate the one at my salon...he has these huge hands and he drips water all over my face and he just freaks me out. I don't tip him at all, sorry.
