how much does it cost to cut down trees
they are pretty tall, we are going to totally renovate this backyard and a few trees will need to go. Anyone have any round about figures

We had a tall x-mas tree like tree and a smaller one cut down last year and the price was $500. I found it you shop around there is a big difference w/ the quotes.

Definitly shop around---we got price ranges from 200-500.

I think stump removal, grinding, etc varies the quotes.

Its also the width of the bark that varies the quote as well - we were charged $1500 - and the prices ranged from that price (low) to over $2500...but it was tall and a really thick bark. And we got a lot of quotes.

We had a tree cut down that I couldn't wrap my arms around and it was $1500 - bark and width definitely matter!

yep, i got quoted 1500 to have half a tree cut down (the tree had split into 3 dfferent trunks)

my guy was $1,800 for 8 hrs. they cut down A LOT of dead trees and limbs (i have about a half of acre of woods in the front of my house), did a roof clearing, trimmed the trees, removed some bushes and stumps.
he is located in huntington but i am sure he would be willing to travel and he does do smaller jobs. if you want his info, let me know.

It definintely does range alot, so Id suggest calling a good number of companies to get quotes. So far everyone has offered to give a free estimate and you dont have to be home when they come around.
We have 2 trees we want take down and we've gotten quotes from $500-$1250
