How much $ for favors for a kids party (school friends mostly)

How much did you spend on favors for DD’s “kids party” for her 4th b-day. It will mostly be friends from her school, and a few close friends’ kids. Maybe 10 or so kids.

I’d love to get away with spending only a few dollars each, but I want to do an Olivia theme and haven’t found inexpensive coloring books, etc. I like their read-along books that are $4 each, but that’s a little more than I was thinking to spend.

I just had a party for DD - she turned 5 and the favors cost $4.99 each - I got them on birthday express and they were barbie themed - pretty good too.

for em's olivia birthday party - i got little plastic piggy banks from dollar tree - they had candy in them...

i tied a ribbon around them & wrote - thank you for coming to Emma's First Birthday Party!

I plan to spend about $5 per kid. Including the actual favor bag, hats and blowouts, it's closer to $10 per kid.
