How much is typical for children's entertainment?

We went to a fantastistic music program at the library yesterday and I want to use the guy for Ellie's bday. He gave mea price, but I'm not sure what's reasonable. It's interactive music.

eta: If you're willing to share an amt can you specify what it was for, ie, magician, balloon animals, etc

I *think* my friend paid $300 for a "red furry monster"- elmo and clown. They were there for probably two hours?

I used Little People Entertainment in August for my son's 1st. They were fantastic. I paid $245 + grat for 2 ppl. We did a puppet show, sing-a-long and arm painting (tattoos). We had a visit from Elmo, too.

I am paying $210 for the same package with Twinkle Town. I went to a party Sunday with Little People and it was good.

I am paying $175 for 1 hour from TwinkleTown for a clown for DD's b-day. They told me she will sing songs, do face painting, animal balloons, games, magic tricks and story time.

Maybe I am being ripped off!
225 for a 1/2 hour sesame street puppet show (i think like 15 characters or something) and then then 10 minutes of picture taking and they bring out the cake ...

Does TwinkleTown have a website? Will those of you who have parties coming up with them let me know how they did? Ellie's bday is not until May 25th so I've got a little time.

We actually went to a neighborhood bbq last summer where they had two clowns from TwikleTown and the kids had a blast. It was a backyard bbq and all the parents were able to sit and chat while watching all the kids sitting on the grass w/ the clowns. The clowns did all the "tricks" w/ the kids and everyone seemed to enjoy them. Seeing how well things went I am very excited to have them at DD's bday party.

Re: How much is typical for children's entertainment?

I'm paying $225 (I think!) for Elmo and a helper. They do an hour, includes pics with character, interactive songs, balloon animals, tattoos, face painting. I have to supply the film for pics, they supply the "frames". I am using FairyTale Productions. You can see them next week!
