how much milk does your 14-17 month old drink?
DS has a morning and night bottle (8 oz each) and now instead of a mid day milk bottle, he has a milk sippy....he used to drink an 8 oz. bottle, but now that he drinks it from the sippy, he is only drinking a few ounces...for a total of about 18-19 oz. a day. The rest of the day he drinks water (probably about 6 oz. a day). IS this enough milk for him?
Does this like what your kids do? TIA

my girls Ped wants them to drink no more than 16 ozs a day starting at 1. I have heard some Peds say 24 oz or less so sounds like he is drinking in the middle of there!

DD nurses in the AM and PM. She gets a milk sippy with 2-4 oz and a 6 oz yogurt daily.

Our ped. told us to stay between 16 and 18 oz/day. Sometimes we give ds a little more, but not much. He's been off the bottle for awhile now, so he takes all of his milk in a sippy cup. He has one in the am and one in the pm (and once in awhile, one in the afternoon). Otherwise, he drinks just juice and water!

Our pedi said between 0-20 oz per day and that was at the 15 and 18 month visit. DS gets about 9-10 oz a day.

DS is 19 mos but he still drinks the same amount of milk he did at 16-17 months. He drinks about 16 oz per day - 4 oz in a sippy in the morning - 4 oz in a sippy in the afternoon and 8oz sippy b/f bed. Sometimes he doesn't drink it all. Ped said around 16 oz is what we should shoot for.
