How much stress and exercise is really too much to affect TTC?
How much of each would be considered too much? I have stressful moments but they haven't been an ongoing everyday thing. It usually happens that moment then it goes away for the most part. And exercising, I'm only exercising 2-3 times a week. I'm definitely doing more, but not most of the week?
I'm just trying to figure out why I "stopped" O this month. I know I was going to, but then I haven't? I just don't know why?
Of coures my DH is just like, "so there's always next month!" I told him it isn't that easy, he said it is. He said don't worry about it, relax! He just doesn't understand.

what makes you think you arent going to O? just because you didnt O when you normally do doesnt mean your body wont try again in a few days.
also i asked my RE about the exercising and he said it doesnt have any negative effect, assuming you arent training for a marathon or really overdoing it.

I read that crash dieting can affect it, but not normal exercise. If you are under severe stress you never know, stress can do a lot to your body.

Re: How much stress and exercise is really too much to affect TTC?
I just don't think I'm going to. I guess I still can, I don't know? I usually O on CD16 or CD17, (I used to O on CD14 or CD15 before Lupron), last month though I O on CD19 for some reason and now it's already CD18 and it feels like my cervix has closed up already. I was gearing up for it, and then nothing. Do you think my cervix can open up again? I don't think I've ever had an anovulatory cycle so I've never experienced the cervix opening and closing multiple times in one cycle. I mean I'm still that I do O, but I may not. I'll be testing with my OPK for today when I have to pee. I usually test around 2:00pm. I just don't have to pee. LOL! I'll keep you updated.
That's good to hear about exercising. I used to exercise all the time, but stopped for a few reasons and then gained some weight so I decided I needed to work out again to try to lose some weight in case I got PG again. At least get my body used to working out again too so maybe I can continue working out if I do get PG. I always stopped working out when I was PG with the boys. I was too afraid of causing problems.

I'm not doing any crash diets so that's out. The stress I usually have is just like something that day will happen and just upset me so much that I'll have a crying episode. I'll then stop after a while and try to get over it and move on. I don't think I've had any stress that's been days worth or anything like that. Just episodes here and there. I'm just trying to figure out what I've been doing differently these past couple of months to make me O late or nto O at all? Oh well...

UPDATED again...
Just took an OPK. It was slightly lighter than yesterday. It's more like the one onThursday.
Is there a chance my surge will come back? Can it fluctuate? (get dark, then light and then dark again?) I've never had this happen before.

yes OPKs can def fluctuate. thats why a negative is a negative unless its the same strength or darker than the test line. any other line thats lighter doesnt really mean anything as far as WHEN you will ovulate - although many people experience the fade in pattern., not everyone does. if you haven't gotten a plus yet this cycle, its not that your surge is "coming back" - its more likely that it just didnt happen for one reason or another.
i think there is def still a chance that you ovulate this cycle. just because its not the same time as normal def doesnt mean it WONT happen. sometimes if the body doesnt do it when it usually does, it will try again a few days or a week later.. its not uncommon even for people with normal cycles.
hang in there!!

An anovulatory cycle every now and then is completely normal.

Re: How much stress and exercise is really too much to affect TTC?
I read somewhere that running 20 miles or more a week (or the equivalent amount of other exercise) is considered excessive. Unless you're training for a marathon, you're probably fine.
Stress is totally different; it affects people in much different ways. Some have a higher tolerance for it than others. (And I'm sure being told to "just relax" doesn't help). You may just be Oing later than you usually do. Even if you don't O at all, an anovulatory cycle once in awhile is normal.
