How much to renovate kitchen?
We are in the preliminary discussion stage for renovating our kitchen. We just closed on a two-bedroom coop last week! Our kitchen is approximately 12x7.5. Can anyone give me a ballpark estimate on a kitchen renovation for that size that would include granite, cabinets and floor tiles. TIA! I am clueless!

we just bought a coop and have a 10x7 kitchen and did middle of the road cabinets and cheap tiles and granite...and stainless steel appliances...coming in under 10k for everything (but that's with our family doing the installation -- installation of the cabinets was estimated at 5k alone!)

I live in a 2 bedroom co-op and we are re-doing our kitchen (12x8) with new middle of the road cabinets, 4 new stainless steel appliances, new counter tops, new laminate flooring for under 7k. (It helps that my dad is in the cabinet business and that we are installing the cabinets ourselves.)

Thanks everyone. I was hoping that it would come out under 10K and I think we will be ok now. DH didn't believe me that we could renovate AND get new appliances for less than that. We have a family member in the business so we can get a few things at cost. Thanks!

are you doing work yourself or contracting everything out???
I have no idea how big my kitchen is, 12x12 maybe? (Pics in album). We got a granite countertop ($1700), new porcelain tile floors ($1500, which included tile for our entryway), new appliances ($3000 for SS, including a new refridgerator which we havent picked out yet), and $500 on some new cabinets (luckily the cabinets were new). New french doors were a couple hundred.

You can def do it for under $10K if you're doing the work yourself and your mindful of your budget.l IKEA has great looking cabinetry and they are rated very high by Consumer Reports.
