How much to spend on pre-school teachers---and what kind of gift?

I'm lost as what to give ds pre teachers! He has one main teacher and one aid. How much do I spend?And what is a good gift?

Last year I gave DD"s day care teachers ( 1 main teacher- 2 assistants)
1 small bath and body gift set
1 gift card each ( $25 for main teacher- $15 for assistants)

I want to give more this year- after all, they survived potty training this year!!!

I gave the daycare teachers $30 visa gift cards.

I made up Bath and Body gift sets about $10 each for 3 preschool teachers

I do gift cards. Between my son and daughter I have 5 teachers. My DD teacher's have been working with us for the past three years. One of them actually helped my son get over his fear of going to school. They are both there in the early morning to help with both of my kids so they are getting 25 each.
My son has 3 teachers. They are just ok- not very nice when I pick him up each day and honestly, I don't even know their names. I am giving them 15 each.

I did Barnes and Nobel GC for $10 each. There are 4 teachers. The parent's organization collects $36 per family on a voluntary basis, which is how I made my decision on what to give. I also made a donation to a charity in honor of the director.

I got all three of my faughters teachers 25$ GC to Panera.. She loves them all and they give me peace of mind when she is there!!

My go-to gift for all these things is a $5-10 Starbucks or DD gift card. Everyone always loves them and you know they will get used!!

I spent $25 on my dds teachers and assistants...for both I contributed to the class gift and then gave gift cards to make it up to that amount.

I got the teacher a small Coach clutch ($35), the 2 aids each a small Coach wristlet ($20) & I'll be getting them all Visa gift cards to go in them. I think $25 for the teacher & $15 for the aids.

My DS started at a small daycare in Sept. He has three teachers. I'm unsure who spends more time with him, so I am doing $30 visa cards each and then a little something, like a candle or lotion, and the candy I make each year. There is one of the three that I am pretty sure works with the older kids, and I actually don't really like her that much...but I feel bad giving her less, so it's all the same! I feel like next year will need to be more $ since he will have been there for over a year.
