How much weight does the baby gain in the last couple of months?

Well, I had my 30 week growth sonogram today and everything looks great. He was kicking, sucking his thumb, and his head is down but resting on my bladder (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH). He weighs 3.5 pounds now. What should I expect him to be by the time he is born?

PS: Had my three d sonogram Sunday and the growth one today and both technicians told me that my son has the chubbiest cheeks ever. I thought it was adorable.

I am 33.5 weeks and she is measruing 5.5pounds. My doc. said from this point forward she will only gain 2-2.5 mnore pounds. Again, what they tell you the baby is in weight through a sonogram is the averages of all their body measurments. so it's an approximate estimate.

At the end of my pregnancy my OB was concerend about DSs size, and I was told the last 2-3 weeks of pregnancy the baby will gain 1/2-3/4 of a lb a week.

PS my last growht sono done 2 days before DS was born was off by 10oz, they are I believe +/- 1lb
