How much would a private evaluation from a phycologist cost?

Approximately how much out of pocket and would insurance cover any of it if I went that route?

Depends on the insurance . You could give ur insurance a call and see if they have any in network providers that u may like
I don't see why they shouldn't cover

Depends on your co-pays.

We initially did a private evaluation through my insurance. He met with us/DS about 4 or 5 times and I had a $50 co-pay.

Someone who didn't accept my insurance said she would charge the same per session privately.

Anyways, the psychologist we saw was the one who suggested I proceed with having DS evaluated through the school district. That's free, but only in the sense that our tax payer dollars cover it.

Same for all of DS ongoing services now through CPSE.

Note: Most of the providers my insurance said were covered, did not even have the professionalism to return my calls (even just to say they had no availability).
