How nmuch milk is your 12 month old drinking per day????????

I am at 20 - 21 oz .. how am I going to cut that down and when should I start? She is still using a bottle.. Sippy cup is for water only... and I do not give her any juice at all..

DS turned one on June 8th. He has been drinking 18 oz of milk per day for the past week or so. He does 3 - 6 oz bottles per day. He drinks water or watered down juice out of a sippy.

I don't know when to cut it down. My ped said that 18 oz is a good amount of milk to drink.

At 12 months, DS was taking 24 oz. When we transitioned, his ped. said to keep the same amount that he was getting of BM. (I excl. pumped, so I knew how many oz. he was getting).

Now at almost 17 months, he still takes 20 oz/day. His ped. said that's fine...the average is 16-24, so I don't think you really need to cut back.

He gets 3-4 milk bottles a day, and water & juice from sippy cups.

D - our doc said 24 ounces of milk is fine....

I give her milk as a 'snack' between meals & before bed & if she wakes up during the night.

I don't leave bottles out for her to drink from as she wants, but i do leave sippy's out filled with cold water that she can drink from at any time!

My Ped told me to give the kids no more than 12 oz of milk at day so I give 5 oz when they wake up
2 oz at their 11:30 am nap
5 oz when they go to bed at 8pm

The rest of the time they are drinking water and or juice with their meals

I have to get DS down...he's still drinking about 30 oz. of milk a day at 13 months (he's not a big eater, he's lazy & would rather drink).

I'm going to cut a bottle out & make it water or juice instead.
