How often do you back up your iPhone and battery question.

Admittedly, I don't do it too often. At best, like once a month.

But would this affect the performance of my phone?

For example, I'm having trouble with my FB app and being able to go "online" with the chat feature. Whenever I try to go "online" it freezes the app and then I have to restart the phone.

Now the same thing is happening with the camera.

I just got the phone, like only three weeks ago, could it be me and the lack of backing up or do you think there's something wrong with the phone.

Also, I've noticed the battery life isn't that great either. But I'm kinda coughing that up to me using a lot of apps...Is this normal?

You need to back up your phone more than once a month.. Apple releases updates that are detrimental to the phone functioning properly

I will say that the FB app has issues but I don't believe it's Apple's fault but rather the FB

I sync up my phone probably at least 1x a week...sometimes more.

You should probably do it more than 1x a month, I think that might be why it freezes up on you. The iTunes program on the computer checks for updates just about every 8 or 9 days and I feel like it does a software update more than 1x a month.

I sync my phone everday and I do a hard re-boot every 2 weeks or so, depending on how much I have used it. I charge it up every night also

as for battery life.. I have a charger at work, in the car and at home.. I'm always charging it.. between having apps running and everything else on the phone, the battery takes a beating.. i

I sync mine every day during the week. I have a charger that I leave at work and when I'm in my office it's almost always plugged in to charge.

Thanks everyone...I figured I should be backing it up more than occasionally, I'll start doing it daily.

As for the battery, it sounds like everyone is in the same boat.

Wow I have had my phone since September and never plugged it back into the computer..guess I will go do that now ?
