How often do you get the entire family together

meaning your family and DH's family?

The last time we were all together was at our wedding...
Is this a bad thing?

I don't think it would be a good idea to get them all together often anyway..

RARELY...

We never plan anything per se... I think once we have kids, this will change though.

Everyone just likes to do their own thing. Plus, my parents are divorced-- and that just complicates social gatherings-- everyone gets along-- it's just more people, etc.

We have done it twice in the last ten years, both times last year, when we got married.

I hold silly events at my house to get everyone together.....for Halloween we have a pumpkin carving contest....we have some drinks carve pumpkins and I give prizes....I do the same for Easter... we have an Easter egg coloring contest....we all color eggs....have some snacks and drinks....it's nice because it brings everyone together for a fun evening

We don't. My mil came for my dd's christening eight years ago. Each family lives in different states and they don't have much in common so there would be no reason for them to be together at one time.

last time was at our wedding. it's hard b/c my folks and 1 of my sisters lives here, everyone else in our families lives OOS.

2-3 times each year. We host the break-fast for Yom Kippur at our place. Since we do not have a dishwasher and the food is usually eaten on paper plates, it is easy for us to host 20 plus people this way. If the weather permits, we have done either Father's Day or Mother's day at one of my sibling's homes and my ILs are always invited.

We see my MIL and SIL and the kids often because they are here on LI. The rest of the family is in CT so we see them once every month or 2 months.

At least every other month, if not every month.

Everybody congregates at our home.

The last time we were ALL together was at the wedding in '05.

I guess the next time we'll be together is when we move into our new house in a few weeks.

After that, I think we will be holding Christmas each year with both families.

probably about once a month... but sometimes more, sometimes less...
everyone gets a long well- we have family dinners, holidays, bbqs together-it's nice that everyone gets along so well

Whenever we get the chance to go home to England, both our entire families are there, we haven't managed to get home for 18 months

very rarely... the last time was almost 2 years ago right after our wedding when both sets of parents helped us move...
its not that they dont get along. the parents live 2 hours apart from each other, so its tough to get them together. i'm sure once we have kids that will probably change, but we'll see... to me its not that big of a deal, we keep the families seperate

Not very often. For DOug's birthday sometimes, his mom came with us to dinner on mother's day.

Also, his fam has come to some of my shows and we've gone out to dinner afterward.

The wedding and before that when we were painting the new house....I don't think that's bad, but holidays are a must for me and this year will be a challange seeing as how dh is NOT close to his family and I am....we will host a thanksgiving and christmas dinner for our families, but do to our work sched and shifts it will be either before or after......the thought of this is so scary, but thank god for wine...lots and lots of wine

Not since our wedding in Oct 05 but my in-laws live in a different state. I'm sure things will change when we move into our house and have kids.

i tried for motherd say, but that didn't work out. so we had this parents. we had everyone over once for a dinner party.

We get together fairly often. The last time was the Sunday before Memorial Day, we went for brunch together. We are going out to my parents for brunch, then the wineries and then a BBQ for Fathers Day with the whole family.

We try every year for DS birthday and most of the time DHs 2 bros flake on showing up

My family a couple of times a year.

And my DH's family live on the west coast. Every couple of years.
