How often do you replace your winter coats?

I just got a new one for this year, but I've used the same coat for the last 2 years - A bubble jacket handmedown from my little sis.  I have no fashion sense.

I didn't vote because I buy coats sporadically. In the past 3 years I've bought 3 coats though. I LOVE coats! I love them like some women love shoes or pocketbooks.
I almost bought one in Banana Republic yesterday but I'm PG so it probably wouldn't fit for very long

I last bought a winter coat in 2001, so I am due for a new one. I had the one before that for 3-4 winters. I try to get a lot of use out of them. I also buy a classic style and try to take good care of it.
But for the life of me, I cannot find a good, warm coat this year. Is it me or are heavy coats just not out there?

I've also become obsessed with coats this year. I bought 1 winter coat (I haven't bought a winter one in a while) and 2 fall/winter coats. I have a lot of fall coats though. It's a bad obsession, but at least the coats have been on sale.

Victoria's Secret!
It's not extremely thick but not thin either. For me it's perfect, b/c i don't like anything too bulky. But it's wool, so yes - it's nice and toasty warm!

Every time I see this coat in Victoria Secrets, I think of getting it. Did you have it in Pink? I think it comes in black too. I can't recall. I LOVE that one Christina... I wouldn't be able to keep it clean though.
I have one that has lasted me years and is still in good shape and another that is about 3 years old and is ready to be retired!

I don't really replace, I just buy more. Last winter I bought 4 new ones, so I've got a bunch, but they all serve a distinct purpose.

or, you can get it this year, wear it until your belly gets too big, and then you'll have it for next year!!
