how often does a BF baby eat at 8 weeks?
the past few days he's gone several hours without a decent feeding...just a "snack" in between...
like last night...he BF at 4pm, snacked around 8ish and didn't eat again until later at night (like after 10pm).
He'll wake up, play, talk, and go back to sleep without showing signs of hunger.

I think Luca was eating about every 3 hours and he would eat for about 30 minutes. I felt like I lived with him on my boob.

DS eats every 2 to 3 hours (top!) during the day. He goes 4-5 hours at night. Sometimes 7 hours.

And don't forget, most babies tend to get more proficient at BFing and won't take as long on the boob to get the same amount of milk.

so you think he's getting more and is more satisfied? AT 4am he only ate on one side and passed out!

Since he's able to go for fairly long stretches, I would have to assume he's getting enough. He was probably eating more, or atleast for longer, a couple of weeks ago because they have that 6 weeks growth spurt. But now he has probably slowed down a bit. As long as he doesn't seem fussy and can go for 3-4 hour stretches than I'm sure he's eating enough. He'd let you know if he wasn't.

babies know when they are hungry- if youre reading hima nd he isnt hungry, dont worry about it, im sure hes getting plenty...and yes, they get better at eating and ALSO youll start achieving let down a LOT faster (i remember my let down coming after like 30 seconds!!!)

I think she was still going every 2-3 hours during the day, and maybe 3-4-5 at night
