How often does DC have an unexplained bump on their head?

I know unexplained bumps and bruises are a fact of life with children. MIL came over today (Thank God!) to watch DS. I am working the overnights, so I needed to sleep. I wake up tonight and DS has a pretty large lump on his forehead. I asked DH where it came from and he said his mom said it was there when she got here. UM, NO!!!!!!

I think I would remember a large bump on my son's forehead!!!!!! (Now I'm going to give myself a bump!)

He has bumped his head a lot lately (no biggie) since he's trying to pull himself up. But he's never had a lump, or even a mark. How do you not notice a child bumping their head that hard?

Both our DC get bumps and scrapes that we can't explain... it only takes a fraction of a second for them to bump into something, and if they are distracted, they may never cry, or if you didn't see what happened, you might assume they are just hungry, tired or cranky.

Even *I* have bumps and cuts once in a while that I don't know how I got...

I think all kids get bumps and bruises that show up and we have no idea how they got there

BUT, IMO a LARGE bump on the head, should have been seen by someone. I would think that is something the DS would crying about. but i could be wrong

I dont think Caden has NOT had a bruise or bump some where on his face/head since he started crawling at 8 months...Right now he has one on his forehead and cheek from pulling up on the diningroom table. I just happened to have been right there. Most of the time I dont know where they come from..

Unfortunately, all too often!
Last week, DS had a huge goose egg on his head. I asked DH about it (it was on his watch ) He said that DS tripped and may have banged his head on the music table but didn't cry or fuss so he didn't make a big deal about it.
It wasn't the first and I know it wont be the last one

It happens all the time! I will ask DH where a bump or scratch came from while he is watching DD, and most of the time I get "I don't know, I didn't notice"
