How often should i feel the baby move? UPDATED

I am 28 weeks and haven't felt the baby move since Sunday night and i just tried using the doppler and can't find the heartbeat. I tried for 20 minutes to find it. Im a little worried but my OB's office is closed today.
I called DH and he seems to think im just being paranoid.

Im not sure what i should do. Wait and try the doppler again in a few hours or call the doctor.

UPDATE:
Baby girl is fine. She was face down against my spine which is why i couldn't find her heartbeat with my doppler. The OB couldn't find it either with their doppler, they checked by sono and she is just in a difficult position and curled up. Thanks ladies for helping me out! I guess im just a freaked out first time mom to be and not sure what is right and what is wrong when it comes to pregnancy.

I would call the dr's labor/emergnecy #. I think most offices have this. It will give you peace of mind to ask the dr. about it.

Sometimes I think I haven't felt the baby move but then when I relax and sit down I notice the movement a lot more. Have you tried eating or drinking something with sugar?

Like Kim said, I'd drink some juice and then try with the doppler in 1/2 hr. She may have just shifted in there and her movements are facing your back, causing you to feel less. Chat Icon

I would definately call your OB's office for peace of mind. Like the PP said, there are times I don't think I am feeling DS but then I sit still & I can feel him moving around.

I don't feel the baby move that often.
I have an anterior placenta so I don't feel that much. I am 28 weeks also.
I agree to drink some juice. I also feel the baby more when I am laying down.

I agree with this. I am 31 weeks and do feel the baby a little more now, but at 28 weeks there would still be long stretches where I didn't feel the baby. I also had an anterior placenta. Laying down for me almost always would get me to feel something, but even then it would take some time. If you did all your old tricks to make the baby move and still haven't felt it since Sun. I would prob call the doctor for some peace of mind. Good Luck Chat Icon

i'd drink some juice, eat something and play some music. When my Chat Icon is not moving around that much, one of those things gets her going ;)
