She was about six weeks old when I brought her out somewhere other than the doctor's office.

Right after his 2 week well baby checkup but a few times before that, it may sound silly but I figured since he was breastfeed he was getting my immunity anyway and most of the time he just slept in his car seat
Once my mother left and it was just Dh, the baby and myself I had to take him out with me and I quickly learned he was super portable and I was told I should take advantage of that while I could.

Besides Dr appts I didn't take him out until he was 6 weeks old. And even then it was just a short trip to the pharmacy.

8 weeks. My doctor told me to try to keep her away from people as much as possible until then since she was born during cold & flu season and babies have very poor immune systems the first few months.

well she was around people from the day I got home from the hospital being that I ahd alot of family at my house. Plus people were popping in and out the first week. But taking her out besidded the doctors office would be about 4 weeks

besides friends and family in my house or family's house - I waited 6-8 weeks (depending on the place).
I remember at 7 weeks we attemped a major store and everyone was cough and sneezing we walked out so scared. It was the middle of the winter and everyone was sick everywhere. Plus the hospital scared us and said if they catch a cold before 8 weeks - a spinal tap is necessary and I know someone who had that happened.

Emma was 9 days, we took her to the wharf in Greenport.
Jeremy was 11 days, I had to take Emma to swimming lessons.
