started at 7 months getting up and standing, 8 months getting up standing for more than minute, 9 months taking first steps holding on and falling, 10 months full speed ahead walking not holding on
so started 7 months
actually walking at 10

a week after he turned 10 months he was fully walking. I thought it would have been later since he did not crawl till 9 mos.
Me too. DD didn't start crawling til she was 9mths and she hardly ever cruised either. Then one day when she was 10.5mths she stood up and started walking.

My son was similar to your child. He started cruising the end of his 7th month/early 8th month. Everyone thought he'd walk early since in my family most of us walked early too. But he didn't walk until right after his 1st birthday. He started stepping - like up to 6-7 steps in his 11th month and I'd thought he'd take off but got sick and stopped even stepping. Full fledged was his 12th month. Day after his b-day party he walked across a room.

Both of my boys walked at nine months, but 10-1/2 months is definitely still on the early side for walking. He'll be doing it any day now!

All 4 of my sister's kids walked between 9 and 10 months...
DD is 14 months and occasionally takes a step or two... but she's not really walking.
