How old when baby...
1. No longer needs to be burped?
2. Can hold his head up on his own?
Jake doesn't seem to want to be burped anymore!! I know he still needs to be but he doesn't seem to like it anymore. He used to love it...would even fall asleep during...now he fusses and fidgets and yells at me!

He's 12 weeks. I can't imagine that he's ready to burp on his own yet, right?
Although alot of the time he does burp on his own immediately after he finishes his bottle and I sit him up.

Re: How old when baby...
Jared still needs to be burped at almost 4 months. Sometimes, when I sit him up after he ate his bottle, he burps right then. As for holding his head up, I guess it's different for every baby. Doing tummy time will strengthen his neck muscles, so do lots of that with him. I'd say by the end of 3 months, beginning of 4 he should be holding his head just fine. I can't wait until he sits up on his own!!!

Re: How old when baby...
I still burp bryan but I think they say that until they sit up theydont need to be burped butI could be wrong.
As for holding up the head- Bryan is 3 months and he can hold it up pretty good for a long amount of time and everyday it gets better and better- def put him on the tummy -- whats also amazing is that Bryan was put on his tummy and never picked up his head at 2 months and I was soooo worried I even asked the Dr about it. Then one day he did it with no problem it was cool but wierd - I always feel like should be a gradual progression but not with babies apparently- one day they're not doing it all to the next day they're doing it like a champ.
