How Russell Brand Proposed to Katy Perry
Russell Brand made sure everything was perfect during his New Year break in India with Katy Perry.
The comedian, 34, swept his lover, 25, off her feet during a few days' stay in a luxury hotel in Jaipur, India, during the vacation in which the couple were became engaged.
The two stayed in one of the presidential suites at the five-star Taj Rambagh Palace hotel for a few days around the end of 2009, PEOPLE has confirmed.
And on one special night (the one in which they got engaged, according to Britain's Sun), Brand presented a special treat for his girlfriend of four months: He asked the hotel to set up a unique dining experience – for which the couple arrived for dinner by horse and carriage.
They ate under the stars in the garden lit by candles, and at midnight were heralded by New Year's fireworks while sitting on an elephant – a special request made by Brand, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Then, Brand asked Perry to marry him after she reportedly found a specially-hidden ring in some flowers.
There is some speculation that the wedding could take place in the next six months. Brand's rep in London could not confirm the timing of the wedding or reports that the comedian bought an engagement ring shortly before Christmas at Cartier in London.

But it feels like they've only been dating for like half a second.

Hmmm.... Crazy comedien who admitted to sexual addiction issues proposes to his singer girlfriend almost 10 yrs younger than him after 4 mts.
Sounds like a match made in gossip-mag heaven
