How skinny is too skinny?

Just wondering, are most people here trying to get to their minimum ideal weight or their maximum weight in the range, or somewhere in between i guess...

I'm trying to lose about 10 pounds to get to 140.... my max weight in the range is 137. I guess it's a matter of preference, but I like a little bit of a curvier look... i much prefer the shapely look of Kim K or J-Lo to someone super-thin.

any thoughts?

i am about 5'6.5" and at one point i got down to 115lbs. looking back that was WAY to skinny. i'm now about 129ish and i want to get to 123-124.

i think it depends on your build and height.

I prefer to be in the middle of my ideal weight range for my height. When I first lost my weight I got to the absolute low weight of my range and while I loved how I looked, it was just too unrealistic for me to maintain there. Now I prefer to have a few extra pounds and be more satisfied with my food intake.

At my skinniest I was 127lbs and I looked sick...a few friends told me I didn't look healthy. At my healthiest I was 135lbs and wore a petite size 4.

My body make up is very solid, so I don't appear to be what the numbers show on the scale. Hence, why I ignore the numbers & focus on how my clothes fit.

I know I would be comfortable in a size 7/8 but be happy at a size 6.

A size 4 would be unrealistic for me at this point in my life. I have too much going on to dedicate the amount of time I would need to get to that size.

I think aiming to be in the middle of your ideal weight range is usually a good start. Your idela weight is going to depend on you body type and frame size. I am 5'6", have a medium frame and a 32DD chest- I feel that any weight below 123 lbs is TOO skinny for me...you can see all of my ribs and hip bones. I try to maintain my weight between 125-128lbs.

I think it depends on alot of factors. 140 could look very different on two different people.
I think everyone has different ideas on how skinny is too skinny. The most important thing is feeling comfortable at your weight. I personally feel the best at the lower end of my weight range, but thats just me. I have a smaller frame so that may contribute as well.

I am 5'5 ...I'd be ecstatic at 145. I've even been in the 150's and felt great.

The skinniest I can remember being in my adult life was 139. My clavicle, shoulder blades and hip bones were all jutting out. People were telling me to stop losing weight.

My ultimate goal as of now is 150. I will decide where to go from there.

I'm 5'5.5 and the thinest I was was 113 and my family thought I had a drug problem. I had lost a ton of weight. I had trouble staying that low, real trouble. Now Im at 120 and comfortable. It all depends on your body type and how comfortable you feel.

I'm 5'2" and I look better at the lower end of my weight range.

I have a friend who is the same height as I am and at 120 looked emaciated.

It depends on your body type and what your goals are... I don't have a problem with my weight and I don't concern myself with it, I just want to look fit and toned and feel healthy.

I think for anyone, being too skinny is being at a weight that feels uncomfortable to maintain on a daily basis..... like you're seriously undereating/overexercising to such an extreme to stay that way, would be unhealthy.

I'm 5'9 and would prefer to be more around 130-135....- need to lose 10lbs and I'll be happier. I don't think people will notice but I'll notice in my face and the way pants will feel. Normal range online says 126-169

I think I tend to feel best on the lowest part of my range even would feel good slightly under what is healthy. I am really struggling with this now. I am at the lower end of my healthy range but would like to be slightly thinner. Although< im not sure my body will allow it at this point lol

The thing is, on other people I think they look best when they are at the mid point of their range..on me though, if eel like I don't look good and definitely don't feel good unless I am at the very bottom number.

I am 5'3 and the lowest I think I will go down to is 140. I also like having my curves and I want to keep them. If I were to lose them I would look sickly. I have a very athletic frame so I need some meat on my bones so I don't look manly. I think I will be happy even with 150. For now my goal is to at least get to down to 160, see how I look and feel and then go from there.

Also my DH does NOT like skinny women. Even though I am currently overweight he loves my curves. If I were to get too skinny he would be cooking and feeding me 24/7!

I'm 5'5.
The max weight for my height is 150.
(Im almost there).
I am thinking of setting my goal at 140 and staying there.
I am happy in the 150's, but, would probably be happier being 145/140.
I haven't been here (in these numbers) in a LONG time and it feels Great!

I am 5 feet 5 inches and 138 lbs

prior to having 2 kids I was 130 lbs .....but I am back in my size 6s and wondering if that 130 is even attainable and whether i want it

i was up to 165 after my babies so even i stayed here at 138 i would be happy
