How soon did you wash the baby's things?

I already washed his clothes I just have a few things left to wash. I am due in 3 weeks. The baby will be sleeping in the bassinett for the first few weeks. Should I not wash the crib stuff until after he is born?

I never washed anything. lol

ETS that I would wash the crib stuff and have it ready a few weeks before the baby's arrival. Chat Icon

If you're going to use a bassinett for a while, then there's no rush to wash the crib bedding. I'd say whenever you feel it's necessary! Chat Icon

I washed the crib bedding even though Chat Icon will be in our room for the first few weeks. I wanted to have it washed before putting it in the crib.

I washed it last week when I was 37 1/2 weeks preggo because that is when the furniture finally arrived!

As for clothes, towels, bibs and burp cloths, I have washed everything for newborn - 3 months.

With DS, my mom washed everything after I had the baby. I didn't find out what I was having (not finding out with this one either) so it wasn't until after having the baby that she picked up my layette and linens that she washed them.

im due in 2-3 weeks now as of my last dr. appt. I just finished my last load of laundry! Yippee! I just started it yesterday and washed DD's newborn clothes and 0-3 months clothes. I now just finished washing her blankets and the changing pad sheet. I MIGHT wash her crib bedding.. but im not sure if i will just yet.. i did the crib sheet.. just not the bumbers nor the blanket for it.

I washed everything including the bedding about a week ago. I'm due in 3 weeks and wanted to have everything ready just in case. I may wash again though being the baby won't be in the crib for at least 3 months.
