How to Clean Laminate Floors?
they told me to dry swiffer....
but what if I want a more thourough cleaning?

I bought a special cleaner...at a flooring store near me. the kit came with a "mop" that has a terry cloth cover as the mop head. You spray this stuff onthe floor then mop it up. The floor gets nice and clean. My mom has been using this stuff on her floors for years and never had any problems.
The best part is....the mop head goes rigth in to the washnig machine!!

Yup - just like Lisa said...I use the Pergo spray but I could never find the mop so I use a swiffer mop with a washcloth...I jus throw it in the wash when I am done. It's great!

I use the Glad wet swiffer type things. My cleaning lady uses a damp mop.

First, I vacuum the floor. Then, I have a spray bottle that has water and a small amount of white vinegar. I spray the water/vinegar sparingly on the floor and with the dry swiffer mop wipe it "with the grain" . It works very well.

see, I was told no fluid directly on the laminate. I could spray a cloth or a mop and then mop.

Well, the instructions on the swiffer wet jet say it is safe for laminate. I heard the same thing about no fluids but did you ever see how much comes out of the swiffer wet jet? Not that much. I've been using it for about 6 months and my floor is fine.

I vacuum or sweep first. I use the swifter wet mop thing for quick cleanings. I also use vinegar and water mixture - that was on the Pergo website.
