how to deal with a smart strong headed 2.5 year old
My dd has been giving me such a hard time these past two weeks. Crying for no reason, not listening take away a toy doesn't make a difference to her try to sit her down talk to her and next minute back up doing what I just told her not to do. Not sure what else to do.

Must be the age, describes my DD to a T also! We try to redirect her, key word being trying, sometimes it works, but more often than not it turns into a full blown temper tantrum!

Just remain as consistent as possible, and wait until she's about 4, when she grows out of it.... (hopefully)
Almost all DC go through this somewhere around 3 years old, give or take.

ugh! DD is the same! I just keep hoping she will outgrow it and in the meantime, time outs are sort of working but bribes are really the only thing that I can count on.
