how to go out to dinner with friends and NOT eat/drink?
I'm going out to dinner tonight with out of town friends with whom we ALWAYS enjoy copius amounts of wine and a crazy variety of food.. if I don't drink and order meats well done or something there is NO WAY she is not going to be suspicious. We would prob tell these friends now (since they are oot and both were in our wedding parties) but we're going out with two other people whom I def don't want to tell. . .
any advice on how to handle it. . I tried to see if we could meet up before but it's not going to work .

Some people use the "I'm on antibiotics" excuse. I'm not sure if that's actually helpful or not, but have fun at dinner either way!

I thought about that and that would work for drinking but def not for passing up sushi!!

thanks! I think the problem though is not that I won't be able to find things to eat but that there is no way they will believe that that is what I'm 'choosing' to eat. . I guess I'll just have to wing it!!!

Maybe you can say that you are getting over a bad stomach virus and you don't want to eat anything raw.

I had said I had an upset stomach and that worked. I just ordered gingerale ( so they thought for my tummy).
