How to introduce pacifier to a 5 month old?

DD has a bad habbit of licking her sheets for comfort when she's trying to fall asleep. She would roll to her left, tilt her head toward the sheets so it looks like she's smashing her face into the bed and licks it. THEN, she would continue to roll to her right and do the same thing! I rather have her suck on a paci than that. The problem is, i was so against of her sucking on a pacifier before that i feel like it's too late now. When I stick it in her mouth now, she just licks it. The licking motion will push the paci out. I would have to hold it there for her to lick it. There will only be a few times that she would suck on it for a few seconds.
How do I introduce her to a paci and not lick her sheets or should I leave her alone to lick her sheets??

lol i'm sorry to laugh but the visual i have is too funny..


i wouldn't introduce the paci at this point. it'll just be something you'll have to break eventually anyway.

i say let her be a sheet licker, i'm sure she'll get over it eventually!

I agree. The paci was the hardest thing to break. I would let her pick the sheets

If DD doesn't have the paci she will put anything and everything in her mouth, shirts, blankets, feet, whatever. I think it's natural ...
