How to share our news with friends

If all goes well, we're hoping to tell our family and friends about the pregnancy in the next few weeks. There's one couple that we're very close with who experienced a m/c a few months back and is TTC. I know they'll be happy for us, but I don't want to make it hard on them that we "succeeded" first. If anyone's been on either side of this situation, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

We had a very similiar situation. My DH told his friend first, like right after we found out and I wanted to kill him! We waited a little longer to tell his wife. My DH basically just said that we had exciting news and spilled the beans. I brought the sono pics so I showed them after he told the news. I think it went well.

For our parents I ordered sweatshirts that said "I am going to be a grandma!" and "I am going to be a grandpa!" I played it off like they must have left the sweatshirts at our house and asked if they looked familiar and handed it to them folded up, when they opened them to read what they said they flipped! It was awesome!
