How To Use Chinese Gender Calendar - Use Lunar Calendar!
Everyone, I just want all to know that using the Chinese Gender Predicator Calendar should be done accurately to achieve the results you need.
You need to convert your age and the month the baby is conceived to the lunar calendar before using this chart.
These are instructions to follow before using it:
1. Take note of the woman's lunar calendar age during the time of conception.
Use this to convert Convert Western To Lunar Month
2. Add 1 to the woman's age. In China, a baby is typically counted as 1 yo. when he/she is born.
3. Take note of the month when the baby was conceived and then exchange the month into the Lunar Month.
Use this to convert Convert Western To Lunar Month
4. Complete the information at the calendar link below. Remember to use your lunar age + 1 and the baby's lunar month!
The Nest Gender Calendar
VOILA!

Re: How To Use Chinese Gender Calendar - Use Lunar Calendar!
I know, my DH is confused as well when I even bought up the concept of me having two birthdays - I'm Chinese so have a Lunar and Gregorian birthday.
Basically, in America and alot of the Western world we use the Gregorian calendar and the Chinese Gender Calendar is based on the Lunar calendar. So if you don't convert, it won't work accurately.

Re: How To Use Chinese Gender Calendar - Use Lunar Calendar!
The Lunar year is usuallly a month or two behind the Western (Gregorian) calendar, so:
If your Western (Gregorian) Calendar Bday is: January 1, 1975 AD
Then your Chinese Bday is: November 19, 1974
From results below: --------------------------
Western Calendar Gregorian Date: January 1, 1975 AD
Chinese Date This date is in the Year of the Tiger .
Lunar Month: 11 Day of Month : 19
-------------------------
If you want to IM me your western bday and month of conception I can help you find your lunar bday and baby's lunar month.

Re: How To Use Chinese Gender Calendar - Use Lunar Calendar!
Tina, I sent you your results. You do have to get your ovulation date, not LMP date, to find your conception date.
I did some calculations for you to get that date as well so the result should be based on the correct info.
Hope it's as you expected!
