How would I estimate the resale value of my computer?
I'm thinking of selling my computer...
How would I know how much to sell it for?
It's a Dell Compter that I got in September of 07 and paid $1200ish for.
It has the Inspiron processor (is that the right word?), 2 GB, Dell USB keyboard, optical USB mouse, 20 inch flat panel monitor, 320 GB hard drive, media card reader, windows vista, 48x CDRW/DVD combo drive + 16xDVD/RW drive, and a 2-year extended warranty (third party at home service with nights and weekends, 24x7 tech support).
I honestly don't know what half of that means but there's that and a ton more things from my order confirmation!
WDYT?
Thanks!

DH's company rents computer equipment, and he said with those specs. they might resell for $200-300.

Sometimes I check ebay to see what similar computers are getting.

Best Buy trade-in tool
Try this, you can estimate what your computer would be if you traded it in...might help you figure out the resale value.

That's a neat tool! Based on that tool, the PC is roughly $120, and the monitor is about $40.
If a trade-in is $160, you probably are looking at the $200-$300 range for selling it.
