How would you store decorated cookies....

I am taking Milano cookies and turning them into flip flops, i wanted to adhere them to the sides of a cake....

Would they go stale 1 night in the fridge?

Or should I stick them on the day of?

They should be fine one night in the fridge, but if you want to make sure they are fresh, depending on what they are decorated with, store them in tupperware with wax paper between them.

Re: How would you store decorated cookies....

They are very simple, so I could do it the day of. I am just piping some frosting for the flip flop straps. Then going to adhere them to the side of cake with chocolate. Just would have been one less step if I did it the day before.

But maybe I'll play it safe and just do it that morning.
