I don't think it's about age necessarily.

I would think the right time is when they can sit in place for an extended amount of time and show interest in such show.

How is she sitting through a movie?

I know we took my niece to see Lion King when she was about 4 and she loved it. Sat great through the whole thing.

I am definately taking Megan this year. I know she will do fine as I am sure Allie will as well.

I took her when she was 4 months and she actually watched a lot of it. LOL It was amazing.

We went last year, DS was 2.5 and DD was 4. They both enjoyed most of it. It was a little long, so they got antsy towards the end.

DD will be 2 in December and we are taking her this year. Her cousin was in a ballet recital and DD was totally mesmerized by the live dancing and the music, as she was during a live performance of Aladdin. However, she will not sit through and watch 1/2 hour of TV.

You know your DD best. Use what you know about her attention span for different media to make the decision.

We plan on taking DD, who will be 2 1/2. I think she'll love it!
