Hows the Winter weather in San Francisco?

My cousin just had a baby girl! I want to send her something, but do not want to get anything that is microfleece or really warm if they do not have freezing cold weather there...

its not freezing cold, but it does get cold (and rainy). In the winter I was wearing sweaters and a coat (and using heat) when I lived there.

Microfleece or something warm/cozy would be totally appropriate.

I think the winters are pretty mild compared to NY, but it does get pretty chilly at night... and is often rainy!

I lived out there for many years. It can get down to the 30s at night and when you are used to the warmer climate, you do wear warm clothes when it is in the 40s. Microfleece would be fine and I am sure they would use it. The winter weather there is also very rainy, so a cute raincoat or sweater would be a good gift too.

I live about 1 hour from San Fran. Today its about 60 degrees but 40 degrees is normal around here for winter! It also feel really cold because its so windy!
